🇫🇷✨ A truly unforgettable day at IFS! 🇸🇬
Friday 30 May 2025 will remain a special moment in our school’s history as we had the incredible honour of welcoming the President of the French Republic, @emmanuelmacron, and Mrs @brigittemacron__ to the International French School (Singapore).
👨🎓👧 The President took time to meet and speak with our students – from Primary to High School – in a warm and engaging exchange.
🌱 He also visited our brand-new Zero-Energy Kindergarten campus, a symbol of IFS’s strong commitment to ecology, innovation, and the future. The campus will officially open in September 2025!
🤝 The President then met with our School Board, introduced by Mr Ludovic Mathé, President of the Board.
🎤 In front of the IFS and French communities in Singapore, he delivered an inspiring speech addressing some of today’s key issues: sustainability, global cooperation, education, and the strong ties between France and Singapore.
🎶 And what a moment of pride: our talented Senior Choir, led by Ms Julie Demange, delivered a moving rendition of La Marseillaise – a performance that brought real emotion to the event ❤️

🎭 Two plays, two worlds, one incredible display of talent on stage!
The high school students from the Lycée ‘Option Théâtre’ and ‘Atelier Théâtre Seconde’ delivered an unforgettable performance with two bold and original productions: Amer M. by Joséphine Serre and Les Toilettes by Tristan Choisel..
With Amer M., the students explored themes of identity, memory, and the stories we create to make sense of the world. A poetic and moving investigation, delivered with nuance and emotion.
Les Toilettes took us into an absurd, offbeat world where humour, mystery, and creativity collided in a lively and inventive performance.
🎬 On stage, the students shone with talent and dedication, bringing their characters to life with heart and authenticity.
🎉 They clearly took great pleasure in performing, and we took great pleasure in watching them!
A huge bravo to all the actors, and the team behind the scenes for this beautiful moment of shared theatre. 👏✨

🌈 Be Yourself Day at IFS
Today, our school proudly celebrated diversity, respect, and self-acceptance with a full day dedicated to Pride, a first for IFS!
✨The goal? To explain the meaning behind Be Yourself Day, encourage open conversation, and remind everyone that you can be proud of who you are, no matter your identity.
Colourful bracelets were offered to those who wished to wear a symbol of support, and conversations between students and teachers helped open up dialogue in a safe and supportive environment.
💬 A vibrant Post-it wall also came to life, filled with kind words, uplifting messages, and affirmations encouraging everyone to be themselves with pride.
A wonderful day of awareness, dialogue and mutual respect, one we hope to repeat and grow

🏊♂️👟 CE2 Aquathlon – Pure energy and determination!
Our students gave everything they had during an exciting aquathlon combining swimming and running 💪
Physical performance, team spirit, fair play, and plenty of cheering each other on, it was all there! 💙
Swimming like pros, pushing through the run, trying to slip on trainers with wet feet (not so easy 😄)… yet every student rose to the challenge! 🔥
👏 Regardless of who crossed the line first, to us, you were all champions 🏅
It was such a brilliant day… shall we do it again?

🧡 From Classroom to Community: Seconde LVB Mandarin Students in Action 🧡
As part of their Mandarin curriculum, our Seconde LVB students took part in a meaningful community service visit to Sparkle Care @ Serangoon.
They connected with the elderly residents through a variety of engaging activities: Tape & Design, Batik painting, gentle warm-up exercises, a sing-along session, and touching interviews to discover life stories and personal memories.
More than just language learning, this experience was about embracing values, culture, and human connection.
It was a beautiful moment of intergenerational exchange, where students stepped outside the classroom to build empathy and strengthen their understanding of Singaporean culture.
A heartfelt thank you to @pcfsparklecare @ Serangoon for their warm welcome and continued support!

🏀Looking Back at the Prozap Basketball Tournament in Phnom Penh! 🔥
Our students took part in the Prozap Basketball Tournament held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, a high-energy week filled with on-court action, team spirit, support, and shared enthusiasm!
💪 Between sharp passes, crucial rebounds, powerful drives, loud cheers, moments of laughter and the occasional bit of fatigue… our teams were driven by an incredible energy from start to finish.
Teamwork and positive spirit were always there both on and off the court! 🎉
👏 Well done to our students, who finished this exciting adventure with pride and determination:
A big thank you to the coaches, organisers and all students for their commitment. Basketball is also about sharing, learning, growing… and creating unforgettable moments together!

Well done, Gabin! 🏹
This weekend, he participated in the 2025 Inter-School Archery Championship, giving his very best every step of the way.
The competition brought together local schools, some of which offer archery as an official sport with 3 to 4 hours of training a week 😮 so the level was high.
But Gabin stayed focused and determined right to the end 💪
What stood out just as much was the great atmosphere with the other archers in his group most of them much older and a shared promise to come back stronger next year 🎯

✨ Looking back on a wonderful literary visit at school! 📚
As part of the @voilahsg Voilah Festival, we had the pleasure of welcoming two special guests, thanks to the support of the @franceinsg :
✒️ Chun-Liang Yeh, author, publisher, and translator, co-founder of Éditions HongFei, shared his poetic world, blending Eastern and Western cultures with great passion.
🎨 Clémence Pollet, author and illustrator, captivated the students with her expressive artwork and thoughtful stories.
Students from Kindergarten to Elementary had the opportunity to discover the work of authors and illustrators, ask questions, and spark their imaginations.
A beautiful moment of sharing and discovery through children’s literature! 📖💬

🔬 Science Project : A Wonderful Encounter Between CM2 and 6ème! ✨
As part of the school-to-college transition and the science curriculum, CM2 students had the opportunity to take part in exciting experiments on electricity 🔌⚡ in the laboratory, guided by 6ème students.
These collaborative workshops allowed the younger students to discover scientific equipment, to handle, to observe… and above all, to marvel while learning! 🧪
The CM2 students were thrilled by this experience it gave them a glimpse of life in 6ème, and many of them are now genuinely excited (and even impatient!) to make the leap into secondary school. 🎒
A big thank you to the teachers and 6ème students for their warm welcome and kind support. A wonderful bridge between primary and secondary school that sparks a real desire to explore the world of science even further!
