Who is Juliette Rizoud?
Juliette Rizoud is an actress, director, and head of the theatre company La Bande à Mandrin. She graduated from ENSATT in 2007 and worked with Christian Schiaretti before founding her company in 2014.
Her visit to our school to supervise the annual theatre workshop also allows her to present this theatrical adaptation of Joseph Delteil’s 1928 text.
A Young Woman Above All
In his tragic work, Joseph Delteil portrays Joan of Arc as a youthful and innocent figure committed to defending her country. Christian Schiaretti reimagines this legendary heroine, crafting a production that immerses us in a lighthearted and comedic world while still preserving the essence of the young woman with a contemporary twist.
Through transforming everyday objects, Juliette Rizoud brings the character to life in a domestic setting, carrying us away with her energy. The actress from La Bande à Mandrin invites us to revisit the story with a humorous vision, using familiar day-to-day objects that spark laughter.
Based in Grenoble, Isère (38), Juliette Rizoud founded the theatre company La Bande à Mandrin in 2014. She advocates for repertory theatre and a focus on local work. The company embraces a craftsman-like approach dedicated to the art of words and poetry between creation, dissemination, and mediation.
