IFS Day – 5th February 2021
The International French School (Singapore) celebrates one year of its new name and new visual identity.
Exactly one year ago, the Lycée Français de Singapour transformed, evolved and became the International French School (Singapore), (IFS). With a new logo, a new vision and a new mission, the rebranding reflected a growing community of international students while retaining a French flavour and heritage.
To mark this anniversary, all students and staff were encouraged to wear their ‘IFS – Open Your Mind’ T-shirts to celebrate the first-ever “IFS Day”.
The whole IFS community gathered around the school’s colours for this exciting commemoration. Decorations in the school’s colours were installed, and special branded areas were set up for students and staff to take memorable pictures on the day.
On this occasion, H.E. Mr Marc Abensour, Ambassador of France to Singapore, sent his greetings to the school: “Exactly one year ago, the naming ceremony of the International French School in Singapore took place with the objective to emphasize that French education is open to every student, even to those who do not speak French! […] This major development will continue to play an important role in favour of Singapore’s attractiveness. I wish a very happy anniversary to IFS!”
The Principal of IFS, Mr Christian Soulard remarked, “IFS does indeed have a bright future, for the benefit of all its students.”
Today, IFS has more than 60 nationalities among its student body and continues to welcome a diverse student population.
