As part of the event organised by IFS for the Francophonie Festival, Dr. Heïdi Sevestre, glaciologist, will be speaking about:
“The polar ice caps, giants with feet of clay”

Dr. Heïdi Sevestre is a glaciologist, science communication manager for the Swedish-American non-government organisation International Cryosphere Climate Initiative, and Project Coordinator for Arctic Monitoring and Assessment Programme (AMAP), one of the working groups of the Arctic Council.
Dr. Sevestre teaches glaciology at The University Center in Svalbard in the High Arctic.
Today, through her work, Dr. Sevestre aims to make scientific data more accessible and to motivate action on the climate crisis.
Dr. Sevestre will be discussing live with us from the Spitzbergen archipelago beyond the Arctic Circle where she is currently on a mission.
