Elsa Zylberstein, born on 16 October 1968 in Boulogne-Billancourt, is a French actress.

She was first noticed in Maurice Pialat’s “Van Gogh.” She became more and more well-known in the public’s eye, especially after her role in “Minna Tannenbaum” by Martine Dugowson in 1994, for which she was nominated for the third time at the Césars and for which she received the Romy-Schneider prize. 

Elsa has closely collaborated with film director Raoul Ruiz who has given her roles in five of his movies. 

In 2009, Elsa Zylberstein won the César for best actress in her second role part in the film by Philippe Claudel, “I’ve Loved you So Long.”

She then collaborated with renowned directors such as Jean-Pierre Jeunet, Claude Lelouch and Olivier Dahan. Elsa has a diverse talent, navigating roles from romantic tragedies and comedies to super-production movies. 

She is currently travelling to Singapore to promote her new film “Simone, Woman of the Century” by Olivier Dahan, in which she plays the character of Simone Veil. 

IFS students will have the chance to meet with her and ask questions about her film, her career and the film industry.
