Friday 25 April @ 16:00 - 17:00

Revolutionising Street Art with Symbolism
French graffiti artist, Mascarade, is coming to IFS, where he will work with students to create a unique and inspiring exhibition. Together, they will blend his signature street art style with the students’ creativity, resulting in a vibrant display that will be on exhibit.
From 25 April to 30 May 2025
Campus 3000, In front of the 3C
Mascarade, the pseudonym of Alexandre Delaunay, is a renowned street artist from Le Havre, France, whose work merges vibrant colours, symbolism, and a strong sense of freedom. His work has evolved from graffiti to murals, ceramics, and large installations, and he has exhibited globally, in places like Paris, Dubai, and Deauville. His creations blend street art with modern painting techniques, offering a unique perspective on public spaces and individual identity. In 2015, Mascarade opened La Mascarade Gallery, making his work accessible to the public, and continues to create pieces on everyday objects such as mugs, tote bags, and t-shirts.
In addition to his personal artwork, Mascarade is deeply committed to education and has worked with students for over 15 years. He has led workshops with 6ème students and high school classes, teaching them the power of creative expression. Through projects inspired by Ovid’s Metamorphoses, Mascarade has helped students illustrate stories and explore their own artistic identities.
As part of his collaboration with IFS in Singapore, Mascarade will lead workshops from 21 to 25 April, 2025, where students will delve into his artistic universe and create their own interpretations of Singapore through his distinctive aesthetic. On 25 April, at 3C – Grande Salle, join us at 4:00 PM for a special event featuring the students’ artwork and a vernissage (opening). During this event, Louis and Tristan, students from Terminale, will conduct an exclusive interview with Mascarade, discussing his artistic journey, inspirations, and vision for the future of street art.
Following the event, the exhibition will open to the public on 13 May, and will be on display for two weeks. Don’t miss the chance to experience these creative works and the fusion of art and poetry inspired by Ovid’s Metamorphoses.
Through the Parcours d’Éducation Artistique et Culturelle (PEAC) programme, Mascarade has guided students in exploring their creative potential, culminating in this exciting exhibition. PEAC focuses on several key areas, including discovering artistic works, meeting artists, engaging in artistic practices, and participating in cultural projects. Its goal is to spark students’ curiosity, develop their artistic sensitivity, and foster their cultural growth.
