Date: Thursday, 8 February 2024 at 8 PM
Venue: Amphitheatre 2900
Audience: 6 years and above
“In the shadow of the forests, she draws her golden bow.”
The show revolves around a mythological tale, interpreted by three actress-musicians, offering a human and feminist perspective on the adventures of Artemis, daughter of Zeus and goddess of nature.
Goddess Artemis is free, fearless, and rebellious. She much prefers life in the mountains and forests to the Olympian existence. Her world is one of nature and wild animals, and she ensures the natural balance is maintained.
To narrate this story, three women take on the roles of narrators, musicians, and characters in the epic that is Artemis’ journey. They become Léto, Zeus, Apollon, Chiron, Orion, and all the others. They transform into deer in the forest, stars in the sky, and lava beneath the volcano. They embody Artemis, both singular and plural, allowing everyone to find themselves in the narrative and imagine their own, in a musical and poetic performance where the simplicity of the stage gives room for the unfolding of all imaginations.
An after-show session will be hosted by Clément Basquin and Héline Giraudet.
The Théâtre en Pierres Dorées company is invited as part of the PEAC (Parcours d’Éducation Artistique et Culturelle).
