IFS is delighted to welcome the talented Alexandra Colineau, a renowned French investigative journalist, documentary filmmaker, and senior reporter, for an open conference for the IFS community.

Who is Alexandra Colineau?
Alexandra Colineau is a senior reporter, documentary filmmaker, and investigative journalist. Since September 2023, she has taken over from Sonia Devillers as editor-in-chief of the magazine Le Dessous des images, on Arte. Throughout her career, she has undertaken a variety of roles, contributing to her versatility as a media professional. She has seamlessly transitioned between editing, programming, interview preparation, desk coordination, journalism as a reporter of images (JRI), documentary production, and print journalism. This diversity of skills has allowed her to approach information from multiple angles, making her an expert in storytelling.
The conference aims to provide a fascinating insight into investigative journalism, delving into the intricacies of this demanding discipline. Alexandra Colineau will share her experiences and reflections on how she conducts her investigations, unveiling the challenges faced and the key moments that have marked her career.

Alexandra Colineau’s Bio and Career :
A graduate in Information and Communication from Paris 3 and trained at the Gobelins school in the field of Journalism Reporter of Images (JRI), Alexandra Colineau began her career at Canal +, contributing to magazines such as “En aparté” and “Dimanche +” in interview preparation. She then worked in newsrooms as a JRI at LCI (in editing and programming, then as a JRI), Public Sénat, and M6. After the 2012 presidential election, she joined the editorial team of the magazine “13h15” on France 2 as a journalist-filmmaker. Subsequently, she was part of the team for the show “Le Supplément” on Canal + in 2016. Since 2016, she has worked as an independent filmmaker for TF1 Grands reportages, Planète+, among others. In print journalism, she regularly collaborates with Le Monde Magazine. In these various editorial roles, she has undertaken diverse tasks, including editing, programming, interview preparation, desk coordination, JRI, documentary production, and as a writer in print journalism. Notably, she produced a documentary film on the Balkany Affair.
