PROZAP COUPES ASIE-PACIFIQUE VOLLEYBALL & BADMINTON
The AEFE Asia-Pacific Badminton & Volleyball Cups. This annual sports event is back at IFS!
DATE: 7th, 8th and 9th February 2023
IFS will welcome 12 delegations from high schools within the AEFE Zone Asie Pacifique (ZAP) this year. Representatives will compete from: Bangkok, Sydney, Ho Chi Minh, Jakarta, Bali, Kyoto, Seoul, Kuala Lumpur, Vientiane, Hong Kong, Singapore and a UNSS team from Villeneuve-sur-lot.
We are delighted to have teams from around the region joining us for this exciting event. We look forward to a fantastic competition as teams from each country show off their unique skills and talents. This event is sure to be full of exciting matchups and unforgettable moments. We wish all the teams the best of luck and can’t wait to see what they bring to the competition!
The AEFE Asia-Pacific Badminton & Volleyball Cup is an inter-school sports and educational event gathering around 500 players from Sixième (Grade 6) to Terminale (Grade 12). The students will compete in Volleyball matches at the AMK 3000 gymnasium and in Badminton matches at the AMK 2900 gymnasium over three days.
The competition aims to:
- Develop team spirit, promote school values and the spirit of Olympism (self-confidence, solidarity, sharing, respect for others and rules)
- Strengthen relations between French schools of the AEFE network by allowing students to share a unique experience
- Highlight the quality of French schools’ education through friendly sporting and cultural encounters between different AEFE teams
Sport is an integral part of an International French Education. In the French system, sports play a role in:
- Developing physical and motor skills.
- Promoting teamwork and sportsmanship.
- Encouraging physical activity and healthy lifestyle habits.
- Fostering social inclusion, respect for diversity and multiculturalism.
