PROZAP DANCE 2024 with the participation of Rodolphe Viaud
Join us in Celebrating Dance and Supporting IFS Students at their Performance
It is with great pleasure that IFS will host the Dance Festival (PROZAP) from 25 to 27 March 2024.
Our talented dancers from Secondary ECA Sports will be participating in a fantastic event, along with students from Lycée Français René Descartes in Phnom Penh, and Life School in Jakarta. All the students will have the privilege of training with Rodolphe Viaud for three days.
Rodolphe Viaud, a dancer, choreographer, and director based in Toulouse, has already coached our ECA Dance students three times (in 2018, 2019, and 2023). During his previous visits, the Rodolphe Viaud company presented two of his remarkable pieces: “RE.0”, “La table de trois”, and “Life.”
The primary aim of this project in the Asia-Pacific region is to provide our students with a complete experience of artistic creation and to share a strong performance moment with their peers from French high schools or other international institutions.
Through dance, this festival encourages encounters and the exploration of new cultures, reshaping our perspectives on the world and “the other.” It influences the language of the body and introduces our students to various forms of dance (traditional, classical, modern, contemporary, hip-hop, krump, street…).
The project narrates a story, intertwining gestures and/or raising awareness of important causes, serving as a springboard for artistic creation.
It’s an incredible opportunity to foster exchanges and celebrate the uniqueness of each individual! It aids our dancers in discovering and nurturing their own identities.
We hope that many of you will join us this year to share in this wonderful experience and applaud our young dancers on stage during their performance:
