🎒 Latinists on a field trip: meeting the gods!
The Latin students were lucky to take part in a fascinating and eye-opening outing, brilliantly guided by Singapore expert Arianne Nabarro @singapourseine.
Many thanks to Mrs Bocquet and Mrs Larrieu for organising this unique cultural journey!
The aim? To explore comparative religion through the lens of Greco-Roman and Hindu pantheons: Cronos and Brahma, Dionysus and Shiva, Athena and Sarasvati…
A rich dialogue between mythologies to better understand divine representations.
Students also explored the striking similarities between rituals—libations, offerings, incense—showing how symbolism can transcend time and cultures.
They also studied architecture as a sacred language of its own.
An inspiring experience blending ancient languages with living cultures ✨

✨ PROZAP DANCE 2025 AT IFS: an incredible week of emotion and energy ! ✨
Four intense days of rehearsals, self-discovery, and passion for dance, experienced by students of all ages.
This year we welcomed three delegations from @lfrdpp @lfshanghai and @frenchschooljakarta, along with two exceptional guests: @rodolpheviaud and @Cédric Pons, renowned French choreographers and dancers, who generously shared their talent and vision with our students.
A huge thank you to Frédérique Sorange, sport teacher and outstanding dance instructor at IFS, the driving force behind this amazing adventure.
The week began with a heartwarming opening ceremony led by our Kindergarten and CP Students, and ended with a stunning final performance lasting over an hour, culminating in a spectacular finale featuring all 70 students around the theme “Secrets”.
👏 Well done to all for your commitment, energy and creativity.
See you next year for more dancing adventures!

🎭 Le prix Godot des Lycéen.ne.s🎭
As part of Le Prix Godot des Lycéens.ne.s 2nde students took part in a unique programme led by the Comédie de Caen, in collaboration with artist-in-residence @Céline Orhel.
Four contemporary plays – some still unpublished – were presented to the students for reading and analysis. They were then invited to select the winning play. Through dramaturgical readings, critical discussions, and stage work, students experienced a true immersion into contemporary theatrical creation.
A heartfelt thank you to Céline Orhel for her inspiring presence, and to the entire teaching team for their dedication to this enriching project.

🧗♂️ IFS reaches new heights in Thakhek! 🌿
Students from the climbing section, accompanied by their coaches, set off to explore the stunning natural site of Thakhek, Laos — renowned for its dramatic karst limestone cliffs, those iconic sugarloaf formations that offer a dream playground for climbers from around the world.
On the programme: top-rope climbing, lead climbing, belaying, multi-pitch routes, abseiling, caving and hiking. A full immersion in nature at the Green Climbers Home, where limited network connection allowed students to enjoy life’s simple pleasures: board games, slackline, sharing stories, and great conversations.
An intense, rewarding week filled with learning and unforgettable memories.
Well done to this enthusiastic, united and committed group throughout the trip!

Students from across the Asia-Pacific zone gathered in Hanoi for the 36th MATh.en.JEANS Congress 🧠
This unique event brought together young student-researchers from French schools in Beijing, Shanghai, Tokyo, Pondicherry, Chennai, Hanoi, and Singapore to present the results of their mathematical research conducted throughout the year.
💡 A powerful moment of exchange, scientific curiosity, and shared passion among aspiring mathematicians!

Inter-CVL Project: Solidarity in Action in Cambodia
Isabelle, a 2nde student, was one of eight CVL representatives from the Asia-Pacific zone who came together for an inter-CVL project with a strong humanitarian focus.
During their stay, the students visited a local orphanage — a powerful and emotional experience filled with meaningful exchanges.
Each school in the zone contributed either material or financial donations to support the needs of the Cambodian orphanage and the children living there.
An inspiring initiative that reflects the commitment, generosity, and sense of solidarity of our students — well beyond the classroom. 💛

Photography Experience with Arnaud Poirier
Students discovered the basics of analog photography, focusing on portrait and medium shot formats in real-life contexts. They also had the opportunity to learn how to develop their own prints from negatives,gaining hands-on experience with the entire photographic process — from shooting to darkroom development. 🎞️
In addition, the project allowed them to interview and photograph Singaporean staff members, gaining insight into those who work behind the scenes at IFS.
A unique blend of art, humanity, and intercultural exchange, sparking curiosity and creativity in our young photographers. 🌍

Relais autour du monde – Terre de Jeux
We had the honour and pleasure of welcoming Mr Stephen Marchisio @stephen_march, Ambassador of France to Singapore @franceinsg, as part of the Relay Around the World project, an initiative led by the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.
The French Embassy chose football to represent France in this global sports relay!
A friendly match saw a team from the Embassy take on our U18 mixed team from IFS, who are currently in Bangkok for a regional competition.
👏 A huge thank you to our players, who showed great team spirit and solid gameplay 🔥… and to the French Embassy for this fantastic training opportunity!
