At our student’s recent trip to Sungei Buloh, they explored the often overlooked side of biodiversity!
Did you know these ‘unpopular’ animals play a crucial role in our ecosystem?
Our students were amazed to see a Malay Fish Owl, a lightning-fast Mangrove Kingfisher, and even... gulp... crocodiles! 🐊🦉🕷️
But it wasn’t just about the wildlife.
We also saw the impact of pollution, a reminder that we all have a part to play in protecting our planet.

🎤 Eloquence Competition
Fourteen 1ère students had the opportunity to take the stage and participate in an exciting eloquence competition! ✨
They delivered passionate speeches on a range of topics: dress codes, education, the fight against eating disorders, identity, the role of women in society, and many more. Each participant demonstrated great maturity, thorough preparation, and impressive oratory skills. 👏
The audience and judges were captivated by the quality of the performances, which reflected the depth of thought and reflection from these young speakers. 🌟

🎶 An Unforgettable Musical Experience in Phnom Penh! 🎶
The Lycée Français of Phnom Penh recently hosted a remarkable concert where our students showcased their talent and passion for music.
Over several days, students from our school and others in the region united their voices and instruments to create a performance full of creativity, teamwork, and emotion. ✨
Creating a concert is about more than just music: it’s about listening, coordinating, and creating together. Our young artists strengthened their bonds, fostering collaboration and exchange. 🎤
The highlight? A memorable closing concert that turned the stage into a true fireworks display of sound. 👏

📚 Meeting with Valérie Igounet at IFS
We had the honour of welcoming @Valérie Igounet, historian and specialist in negationism, who spoke in several classes about essential topics related to history and remembrance.
Her visit was marked by insightful discussions around her book Crayon Noir, a tribute to Samuel Paty, a teacher who was assassinated in 2020 for carrying out his profession with dedication and freedom.
A powerful and inspiring moment for our students, teachers, and parents, reminding us how crucial it is to never forget and to continue defending the values of education and freedom of expression.

Discovery of Calligraphy with Nikon Inktion
GS students class had a magical time when calligraphy artist @nikon_inktion visited to share her passion.
They discovered that calligraphy is an art of writing elegantly and decoratively. Nikon Inktion taught them the basics, the tools used, and the importance of patience and precision.
The students loved trying calligraphy themselves, tracing their first letters with the artist’s guidance. It was an enriching experience that sparked their imagination and gave them a new way to express themselves through writing.

For the last day before the holidays, IFS atmospher was buzzing with carnival spirit! 🎉
Students embraced their creativity with amazing costumes: pyjamas, disco, recycling, marine life... The school was filled with a burst of colour and positive energy! 🛏️💃🌊♻️
The brass band echoed through the halls, spreading music from elementary to kindergarten, while the elementary school choir gave an exceptional concert that captivated the 2900 amphitheatre. 🎶👏
Huge congratulations to all our students for embracing the costume theme with such talent – they all looked fantastic! 🌟

The CM1 students had the incredible opportunity to experience Space Explorers: THE INFINITE at the Science Centre Singapore! 😍✨
They were absolutely thrilled at the thought of diving into virtual reality and exploring space like real astronauts! 🚀
👾 From spacewalks to touring the International Space Station in 3D, it was a truly immersive experience! 🌍
This experience ties in perfectly with our curriculum, and once they return from the holidays, they’ll delve deeper into everything they’ve discovered about space exploration in class. 🌠

Sara Mangano and Pierre-Yves Massip, trained at the International School of Mimodrama in Paris Marcel Marceau, presented their performance “Alice in the wonderbox” in several shows, first for the classes and then open to the IFS community 🎭✨.
Loosely inspired by Lewis Carroll’s work, the creation portrays Alice, a young person seeking identity, navigating between the real and the virtual 🌐🤳.
She finds herself confronted with avatars, fake identities, online harassment, and a world where the boundaries between reality and fiction blur 🔍💻.
A moving initiatory journey that explores contemporary issues such as transhumanism, augmented reality, and artificial intelligence 🤖🌟.
We thoroughly enjoyed it and were happy to host this performance 🙌🎉. And what did you think? 🤔
