With the sharp increase in the number of community cases of COVID-19 in Singapore in recent days, there is a need to reduce interactions and avoid the risk of large clusters. As such the Ministry of Education (MOE) and the Committee for Private Education (CPE) stepped up precautionary measures to safeguard the well-being of all students and staff.

IFS is also affected by this measure and is therefore implementing HBL this week.

Starting from Wednesday, 19 May 2021, IFS Elementary, Middle, and High schools shift to full Home-Based Learning (HBL) till 28 May 2021.

IFS Kindergarten will remain open to support parents who need to work.  As work-from-home becomes the default mode at workplaces, parents are encouraged to keep their children at home during this period where possible.

The upcoming exams will proceed as planned and with strict Safe Management Measures (SMMs) in place.

The school urges the IFS community to continue practising good personal hygiene and adhere to SMMs. This includes wearing masks, washing hands frequently, wiping down equipment and tables after each use, seeing a doctor if feeling sick and only returning to school when fully recovered.
